Erste Tag am dem Schule - 27 Februar 2017

It was a cold morning when I took a bus from Küttigen to the nearest bus stop of the school that I am placed. Everything was unknown and I was excited for it. I never take a bus to school in Malaysia, my mother would have fetched me and dropped me in front of the school, just like the others. However, it's totally different here in Switzerland. Children learn to be independent, go to school by bicycle, bus or even train. With the guidance of my host parents, I found my way to school. I had a meeting with Herr Burger, together with two new exchange students. We were told to choose subjects that we interested in. Unfortunately, Herr Burger didn't have the time to do a school tour with us and I was sent to the class right away. I think I haven't talk about my school. Haha, pardon me. I am in the Neue Kantonschule Aarau, klasse G2D. It's located in the middle of a residence area, so the surrounding is always safe and quiet. A view from a random clas...

When everything was unsure, unfamiliar and unknown, I was very glad that I have a very kind host family. They made sure I had everything I need, I didn't get cold, and tried to speak English with me. I'm extremely grateful that I meet them. My second day in Switzerland was more like a dream to me. People in town spoke with the language that I didn't know at all  (Swiss German) but they shined me with warm smile even though they didn't know me. It's winter but the temperature was bearable. I was amazed by the old town of Aarau. It is such a different place than what we have in Malaysia. Home made breads  I helped to add the last layer of egg yolk onto there breads.  Swiss people eat a lot of bread. They have various types of breadt, normally they are soft and fluffy inside but hard and dry on the outside. The day of departure and arrival - 24th February 2017

yeah, first of all, it's my departure from Malaysia and arrival in Switzerland. I was with the other 3 exchange students. Our flight took off from KLIA and stopped by Hong Kong and safely arrived at Zurich airport at 6 am. In the picture above, they are my family, one of the most important part of my life. It's really difficult to say goodbye with them without tears.  They are the closest friends of mine, my best buddies. They drove all the way from where we live to KLIA just to say the last goodbye.  It's quite unfortunately that my hand shaked while taking this selfie. So here's the four of Malaysian exchange students of AFS in Switzerland for year 2017.  From left: Marvin, Enson, Jessie and me :)  A view from my room  A view from my room 2.0 I'm living in Küttigen, a village in Aarau. It's a peaceful and quiet place, the surrounding reminds me of my house in Malaysia. I love this lovely place and I feel home...
💭👩 After 51 days in Switzerland, I decided to continue my blog with some stories about life of an exchange student. I will post pictures and maybe with some descriptions. And I will write more about my feelings and experiences if there's a chance.  Everyone is welcomed and please feel free to leave comments on the pictures or even my writings!!
