AFS Oreintation Camp - 17-19 März 2017

After 21 days in Switzerland, I finally had my AFS camp at Neunenegg, Bern. It was a place which let me had a rest and make friends from all around the world!



This is the picture which included everyone of the camp. We were holding the flag of our home country but sadly there's no Jalur Gemilang (Malaysia flag). There were exchange students from Columbia, Chile, Paraguay, Guatemala, Honduras, Brazil, Costa Rica, Japan, Thailand and of course Malaysia.


First of all, they were the camp leaders. Correction: They are the best camp leaders! They are AFS volunteers which are returnees from exchange too. In this picture they were acting out the typical Swiss behaviours. After this, we were asked to do a presentation.


This picture is really amazing because it was the first night of camp. We didn't really know each other but we all sat together, talked, played and laughed. What made that possible? What element made up the bond between us? Maybe because we're all exchange students, we understand how each other feels.

I was wearing a Columbian costume. But I would like to say that I was trying out the culture! It sounds funny, I know. I like it very much because it kept you warm and it has such a wonderful colour.

The first picture of Jessie and I was taken in Switzerland, the second one was in Malaysia. We've changed. And we're changing. I don't really miss my old time but I like to compare the past and the present to see how much did I grow up.

The Aarau Squad!! Newbies exchange students of Aarau of AFS were all in the pictures! They were my German course buddies, without them, the course would be langweilig (boring)! P.S Julissa is one of us too but she was not in the camp with us

After the camp, Marvin is known as the [missing one]. He was the only Malaysian who was not the camp. So, there's no reunion of 4 of us. But, we never forget him because we are FAMILY (normally your family will make you hate them, what to do? It's love hate.

Lötchberg Südrampe The following day after the castle of Lenzburg, I went to the Canton of Wallis with Patrik. www.myswitzerland.com/en-ch/hohtenn-lalden-hiking-classics-on-loetschberg-mountain.html I don't remember where did we start our walk but I am sure that we stopped at the station which called Ausserberg. It was not a difficult walk for me. Here is a sharing of thoughts. I like hiking because of the freedom of it. Without the help of watch, without knowing the exact time, I eat when I feel hungry, I stop when I feel tired. I don't have to bother about anything, just have to be careful when I hike. Hiking makes me feel like as if everything is returned to its origin, nothing is complicated. Erste Woche in der Schweiz

To be honest, I didn't realise that when the first week of me in Switzerland just passed. Personally, I think due to the diet change, I became healthier than I was in Malaysia. I usually started my day with a simple breakfast such as cereal with milk and half of an apple. Lunch would be grains and vegetables of the day. Various types of cheese with bread and a cup of warm tea would be my dinner. I had 8 hours of sleep for the first week. I was very lucky because I don't experience jetlag. The nearest bus stop to my house I really like it  A selfie :) An English garden where I have to walk through in order to go to school Favourite class break snack XD I didn't understand it but now I think I can The first snow in my life. 28th Feb 2017. I woke up to this snow. NOTE : TO SOMEONE, who watches the first snow with me in winter of 2017 I will like to go on a date with you.
