Hasenmatt 12 April 2017
Hasenmatt
I will have 2 posts about 12th of April because there were 2 events on this day and both of them are interesting (okay, well maybe the second one is more intertesting)
I woke up early (again) and took the train (again) with Patrik. We did another hiking tour on this day and this time was 1400m and above. We took about 2 hours to reach to the top and we had our lunch there. Maybe you will ask, why is this sound so familiar? It is because I did hiking quite frequently and hiking is not like other sports, hiking is slow and time-consuming. So, normally we start in the morning and reach the top in the afternoon.
This hiking was the time I decide to like hiking. I am never a sporty girl. (I mention it like 100000000000000 times, hahahahaha) For me, sports are really challenges. But hiking suits me well, slow and steady. And I'm getting used to hiking by now. Instead of gaining extra fats during exchange year, I gain much muscles, especially on my thighs. But I am still weak.

The Hasenmatt is a mountain of the Jura range, located north of Grenchen and Solothurn in the Swiss canton of Solothurn. Reaching a height of 1,445 metres above sea level, it is the highest summit in the canton of Solothurn. The Hasenmatt is also the easternmost summit above 1,400 metres of the Jura Mountains.
The summit of the Hasenmatt can be easily reached by several trails and a road culminating at 1,318 metres.
The top we reached and the place we had lunch
I need to be a good daughter and friend. Here's my selfie!
The river is Aare. It flows all the way to Bern. If I wasn't mistaken what Patrik told me, the city on the right is Bern. The mountain range at the opposite side is the Alps. Yes, the world famous Alps.
Paragliding!
I took this when we had a short break on the way down. I was wearing sport shoes. It was quite terifiying to go down instead of going up. The ground was covered by dried leaves. Not every stones that I stepped onto was hard and stable. I didn't know if my next step would be safe or not. Every steps I took were stressed. All I could do was followed where Patrik stepped onto. Because if one step is wrong, then there will be no second step but a step closer to hell. Maybe this sounds too dramatic but for a beginner like me, that wasn't easy. However, we were able to reach the ground safely. And then, we took the train back to Aarau.
On a train
That was before I fell asleep in the train.
Don't be like me, falling asleep almost immediately.
Continue with the second part!
A party at classmate's place
